| This collectible boat is powered by an actual steam engine. The flame heats water in the boiler and flashes it into steam, which jets out the rear pipes, pushing the boat forward. The steam then condenses in the pipes and pulls water back into the boiler, which starts the cycle over agian and keeps the boat moving forward. This wonderful little toy was invented in 1891 by an English Gentleman. Early in the 1900's toy companies in the U.S. and worldwide began making steam-powered tin boats. | |
